Share the Kindness is a grass roots charity that gifts dolls to explain hair-loss from cancer treatment to kids that are themselves experiencing cancer treatment or that of a loved one. Doris Zagdanski MC – Doris has carved out a career doing what most people fear – speaking in public. As an author, corporate trainer and keynote speaker, she has presented to audiences across Australia and New Zealand about her pet subject – how to support people coping with loss. She is also a breast cancer survivor who says life has taught her to not be afraid to go out on a limb because that’s where the fruit is.
Introducing our first ambassador, Natalie Cardenas
Natalie works as a funeral director at George Hartnett Metropolitan Funerals and is lead vocalist for her bands Simplicity and EchoEcho.
Natalie formed a special connection with Share the Kindness after her father, Neville, was diagnosed with cancer in 2023. Shortly after his diagnosis, Neville heard Helen share her story and was introduced to the beautiful Share the Kindness dolls. Neville saw the prototype of a new doll design and was utterly drawn to it. Though it wasn’t yet available for purchase, Helen offered the doll to Neville and he kept it with him over the next 6 months as he underwent treatment for cancer. Sadly, Neville passed away in October 2023 and the doll was named Neville Ross in his honour.
Whenever possible, Natalie offers her skills in charitable work as she recognises the impact this can have on making a difference to the lives of others. Most recently, Natalie and her band Simplicity have provided music at Share the Kindness’ ‘Easy Sunday’.
Natalie enjoys writing music, singing and dancing, loves to watch the sunrise and sunset and spending time with her 4 delightful children.
